1 / 103 Garling Street, O'CONNOR 6163     08 6161 6892
The name of this suburb is of Aboriginal origin and is thought to mean place of green foliage. This suburb developed in the late 1950s as the centre for light industry in Melville. Many streets are named after men who served and died in the First World War.

Other features of Myaree include Marmion Reserve, which has a wetland, and Pitman Park, which is named after Ella and George Pitman, who were bakers in Petra Street, East Fremantle and also poultry farmers in the North Lake Road area.

Myaree is the home of the Rhein-Donau Club Inc, located on North Lake Road close to the intersection of McCoy Street. This volunteer-operated club is a member of the National Body of German Speaking Clubs and was established at its present site in 1959. Nearby is Elmar's Smallgoods - a popular spot for traditional German fare.
